Florida’s depth chart remains the same as the Gators travel to Tallahassee on Saturday.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators released their depth chart on Monday for their final game of the regular season, as Florida takes on Florida State this Saturday at 12 p.m. in Tallahassee at Doak Campbell Stadium.
Since its inception in 1958, the Florida-Florida State series, better known as the Sunshine Showdown, has etched itself into sports lore as one of the most prominent rivalries in college football history. In this rivalry of sustained runs, Florida boasts a 34-26-2 all-time record against the Seminoles.
Both programs have first-year head coaches, however, Florida's having the much better season.
Dan Mullen is the only first-year coach to beat a top-10 CFP team, and he's the only one to top multiple CFP-ranked
teams. Meanwhile, Florida, Utah State (10-1), Cincinnati (9-2), Georgia Southern (8-3), and Syracuse (8-3), are the only eight win FBS teams that finished below .500 last year.
This season is just the second time in school history the Gators bounced back from a sub-.500 season with at least eight wins (1979-80 - 0-10-1 to 8-4).
In Tallahassee, Willie Taggart has lead the Seminoles to a 5-6 mark and needs to win on Saturday to keep FSU's chance at a 37th straight bowl game alive.
Regarding Florida's roster for this game, there are no changes to UF's depth chart.
Freddie Swain, Brett Heggie, Brad Stewart and Moral Stephens were all sidelined last weekend with various injuries. All of them remain on Florida's depth chart as Coach Mullen seemed hopeful during his Monday press conference that they would play in the game this Saturday.
