
Gators move on at National Fall Championships

SURPRISE, Ariz. – The Gators finished day one at the National Fall Championships.
Brian Berdusco and Johannes Ingildsen battled South Alabama's Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol in the first round of doubles. The duo took the first set in tiebreak 7-6 (4). They dropped the second set 3-6, which forced a third set tiebreak. The sophomore/junior pair outscored the Jaguars 10-6 in the final set to take the match.
Andy Andrade dominated his first round singles match against Kareem Allaf of Iowa. His 6-2, 6-2 victory advanced him into the second round of the singles draw. Andrade earned a spot in the draw with an at-large bid.
Duarte Vale and Ingildsen dropped their first round singles matches. Vale lost in straight sets, while Ingildsen battled to three, but both have fallen into the consolation bracket.

"Joe [Johannes Ingildsen] fought really hard in his singles today but came up short. Glad to see him and Brian [Berdusco] fight through a tough doubles match tonight and get a win. Andy [Andrade] was very solid in his singles match and won convincingly. Looking forward to some more great matches tomorrow."
