No. 5 Gators at No. 14 Georgia Friday

No. 5 Florida is at its most frequent opponent Friday for a dual meet at No. 14 Georgia. Meet time is 7 p.m. ET at Stegeman Coliseum.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 5 Florida is at its most frequent opponent Friday for a dual meet at No. 14 Georgia. Meet time is 7 p.m. ET at Stegeman Coliseum.
 
This is the 149th meeting between Florida and Georgia. The Gators have met no other opponent as many times in the program's 46-year history.

In the Gators' Last Meet:
Florida is coming off a 197.85 – 197.075 win over No. 9 Alabama last Friday in front of 8,236 at the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center. Two Gator senior All-Americans bookended the meet with perfect or near-perfect performances. Kennedy Baker ended the evening's competition earning her third career 10.0 floor exercise mark. It is the third floor 10.0 in the nation of 2018 and the only floor 10.0 posted last weekend. Alex McMurtry anchored Florida's opening rotation with a 9.975 on vault for her Yurchenko double full. McMurtry also used a 9.95 to take her second consecutive uneven bars win. Junior All-American Alicia Boren set her collegiate best for bars (9.925) and equaled her floor best (9.95) for the eighth time as she won her second consecutive all-around title with a season-best 39.60.
 
Florida's bars (49.50) and floor (49.625) totals set UF season-highs. At the end of the weekend, Florida's 197.85 stands as the nation's No. 6 team total of 2018. In the meet that marked Florida's start of the season's second half, seven Gators posted or equaled 12 season-best marks.
 
SEC Weekly Honors for Baumann and McMurtry
Two Gators picked up SEC honors Tuesday as Baker is the SEC Specialist Gymnast of the Week. Baumann, who turned in a pair of 9.925s to share second on beam and take third on floor, receives her second SEC Freshman of the Week award.
 
Kennedy Baker: SEC Specialist Gymnast of Week
Baker closed competition with a 10.0 – her third on her signature event. It is the third floor 10.0 in the nation and the only one of the weekend.
 
Alyssa Baumann: SEC Freshman of Week
Baumann competed in two events, posting a 9.925 for each performance. She shared second on beam and was third in the floor exercise. The mark equaled her collegiate floor best.
 
About the Bulldogs:
The Bulldogs opened home action Jan. 15 with a 197.55-196.60 loss to No. 1 Oklahoma. Since then, UGA has won its next two home meets and comes into Friday's meet after a 196.15 – 195.55 upset at No. 6 Kentucky. The 197.00 used to take the Feb. 3 win over Missouri set Georgia's season best.
 
This is the first season for Courtney Kupets Carter as Georgia's head coach. The 2004 Olympic medalist (bronze, bars) led Georgia to four consecutive NCAA team titles (2006-09) while also winning a NCAA record nine individual titles.

Florida – Florida is No. 5 in the sixth Road to Nationals standings.
Georgia – The Bulldogs are No. 14 in the Road to Nationals standings.
