Friday, February 16, 2018 | Baseball, Women's Basketball
Fans are encouraged to use the FREE shuttle for parking in the commuter lot off Gale Lemerand Drive.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gainesville 5 Points of Life Race is scheduled for Sunday morning and may impact parking for fans planning to arrive early and attend baseball and women's basketball games, both of which begin at 1 p.m.
The O'Connell Center parking lot and garage offers free parking for both events and fans wanting to park here are encouraged to enter the O'Connell Center north lot via 2nd Avenue. The race route will not affect fans parking in this area.
Fans also should consider the FREE shuttle for parking in the commuter lot off Gale Lemerand Drive.
The shuttle begins at 10:30 a.m. and runs until one hour after the conclusion of the last event.
It will stop at the O'Connell Center for basketball and then outside the right-field line of McKethan Stadium for baseball.
The best way to access the commuter lot is by taking Archer Road to Gale Lemerand Drive because the North portion of Lemerand Drive is part of the race route.
