GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 6-ranked Florida softball team returns to Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium for a midweek contest against USF Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Florida is coming off a week where the team dropped its first Southeastern Conference series since April 2016. Georgia took the series after winning the first two games by the scores of 5-4 and 11-1. The Gators bounced back in the series finale to win 5-1 behind a dominant pitching performance from
Aleshia Ocasio.

Tomorrow's game will be broadcast on WGGG (92.1 FM/1230 AM) & WMOP (100.1 FM/900 AM). Ryan Urquhart and former Gator softball standout Kelsey Stewart will have the call.

- Florida dropped in the national rankings to No. 6 in both the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 Coaches Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll but opened at No. 4 in the initial NCAA RPI rankings.
- The Gators are a perfect 12-0 at home entering this week. The team sports a .337 batting average and 0.58 ERA while on the field at KSP Stadium.
- UF has scored in the first inning 18 times this season out of the 26 games played and has outscored opponents 36-5 overall. The team also holds a 17-1 record when scoring in the first inning.
- Senior Aleshia Ocasio ranks second nationally is walks allowed per seven innings (0.45) and has only issued four walks over 62.1 innings pitched.
- Florida boasts five players in the national rankings in walks per game: Kayli Kvistad (3rd – 0.88), Hannah Adams (17th – 0.77), Nicole DeWitt (35th – 0.69), Amanda Lorenz (85th – 0.62) & Janell Wheaton (133rd – 0.57).
