
Four Gators Set to Compete at NCAA Diving Zones

Brooke Madden & Emma Whitner will compete for the women; Alex Farrow & Dalton Goss to compete on the men’s side
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The no. 4/17 Florida Gators will travel to Knoxville, Tenn. to compete at the NCAA Region B Diving Zones, running from March 5-7.
The meet will consist of 89 total divers, including four from Florida. The Gators competing are Brooke Madden and Emma Whitner on the women's side. Alex Farrow and Dalton Goss will compete on the men's side.
Madden is looking to qualify for her second NCAA Championship meet in a row, while Whiter, Farrow and Goss are looking to punch their tickets for the first time.
The duo of Madden and Whitner look to join the other eight women invited to the NCAA Championships earlier this week. The men's invitation list will be posted on Wednesday, March 7.
The NCAA will release the list of divers selected to compete at the National Championships on March 11, once all five Zone meets have concluded. A total of 35 spots for men's divers and 41 spots for women's divers will be allotted over the course of the five Zone Regions.
Prelims will begin at 11 a.m. on both Monday and Tuesday, followed by a 10 a.m. start on Wednesday.

- "The zone meet this year will be the toughest in recent memory being that there are only 6-7 spots on springboard events and 9 on women's platform as opposed to 11-12 in years past."
- "We have a very deep zone meet, so it's going to take some stand-out performances to qualify for NCAAs. There will be a lot of really good divers who won't qualify."
- "That being said, we are coming off a great SEC meet and the athletes are at the top of their game. Thanks to the training room and weight staff, they are all healthy and strong. Now we just need to stay relaxed and use everything we've learned this year to compete at a high level."
