
Madden Qualifies for NCAA Championships on Final Day of Zones

With her ninth place finish, Madden qualifies for platform at the NCAA meet next week
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – On the final day of NCAA Zones, Brooke Madden punched her ticket to the NCAA Championship in platform.
The sophomore finished ninth in the women's platform final, recording a score of 465.95.
After finishing ninth in 1-meter final with a score of 549.95 and 10th in the 3-meter final with a score of 590.95, Madden will be able to compete in all three events at the NCAA Championships.
Freshman Emma Whitner finished 14th overall in the platform final with a score of 432.90, just missing out on qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
Madden finished sixth overall in the platform prelims, recording a score of 248.45. Whitner followed in 14th, clinching her spot in the final with a score of 212.05.
Redshirt senior Dalton Goss finished his career on a high note, placing 13th in the men's platform final with a score of 576.55. He punched his ticket to the final with a score of 291.75 in the prelims, good for 14th overall.
Competition continues for the Gators in the coming weeks with the NCAA Championships. The women's meet runs from March 14-17 in Columbus, Ohio, while the men's meet runs from March 21-24 in Minneapolis, Minn.
