OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Florida softball senior first baseman Kayli Kvistad was selected April 5, as a Top 10 finalist for the 2018 Senior CLASS Award. To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be classified as a NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.
"This a prestigious award," head coach Tim Walton said. "And for Kayli to be recognized as one of the Top 10 finalists just shows how special she is, not only as a student-athlete but as a person."
She dedicates just as much time to her academic studies and work in the community as she does on the field. We have been lucky to have someone with her caliber of character as a part of this program over the last four years."
Kvistad is a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American, two-time NFCA All-American and two-time All-SEC First team selection who is majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders and is expected to graduate in May.
