No. 4 Florida Travels to Missouri to Conclude Regular Season

The Gators (44-8, 17-4 SEC) are currently in the driver's seat for the Southeastern Conference regular season championship with a two-game lead and only three games left to play.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The fourth-ranked Florida softball teams travels to take on Missouri to close out the regular season. The first game of the series is slated for Friday, May 4 at 8 p.m. (ET)/7 p.m. (CT).

The Gators (44-8, 17-4 SEC) are currently in the driver's seat for the Southeastern Conference regular season championship with a two-game lead and only three games left to play. Missouri (28-24, 6-14 SEC) is looking to spoil those chances and close out its regular season on a high note.

Last week Florida went 3-1 during senior week and picked up wins over in-state rival Florida State and its sixth SEC series victory of the season after the team defeated LSU in the opening and closing games.

This weekend the series against the Tigers will be broadcast on WGGG (92.1 FM/1230 AM) & WMOP (100.1 FM/900 AM). Kyle Crooks and former Gator softball standout Kelsey Horton will have the call.

Mark Neely and Cheri Kempf will host the series with the first game being a part of the SEC Network + and the SEC Bases Loaded broadcast Friday, then on the SEC Network Saturday and Sunday. The Marietta, Ga. native struck out 10 or more batters in each of the three decisions and help opponents to a .116 batting average. In the 7-0 victory against LSU, Barnhill picked up her 11th shutout of the season.
