Florida Football is Fun (Again)

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – As Florida's coaching staff and student-athletes have begun to establish a new culture that revolves around the "Gator Standard," UF head coach Dan Mullen has been the voice carrying that message with all of Gator Nation.
Since his return to Gainesville on Nov. 26, 2017, Mullen has spoken to students and fans at more than 30 different venues.
He began this speaking tour during a halftime speech at a January basketball game when he promised to deliver fans another national title. Mullen held a similar tone in late February when his speaking tour made stops in Jacksonville, Tampa and Orlando.
It's all about the Gator Standard.

Back in Gainesville, Mullen has focused mainly on connecting with UF's student body.
Mullen played dodgeball and basketball with UF students at the Southwest Rec Center, ran a few miles through campus with members of UF's ROTC program and he visited more than 30 frat houses and sororities.
"The student body is the lifeblood of the program," Mullen said to Edgar Thompson in an interview with the Orlando Sentinel. "You get there and the student section is sold out, going crazy … well, the rest of the fans are kind of going to feed off the students. I want to make sure that they understand that we're all in this together."
Students, alumni, alumnae, and all 53,000-plus fans in attendance for the Orange & Blue created an unforgettable atmosphere at energy.
