Zhang receives Golfweek All-American honors

Andy Zhang becomes fifth player to earn All-American honors in J.C. Deacon era
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Gators sophomore Andy Zhang was named as a 2018 All-American honorable mention selection by Golfweek, Monday.
Zhang becomes the 61st player in Florida history to earn All-American honors. With the honor, the program has now garnered at least one All-American in 16 of the last 17 years.
Head coach J.C. Deacon has had at least one All-American every season he has been in Gainesville. Florida has had nine All-American distinctions in those four seasons.
Zhang (71.10) led Florida in stroke average this year while picking up seven top-25 finishes and four top-10 finishes.
Zhang, a finalist for the Fred Haskins Player of the Year Award, became the first player in program history to take home both the SEC Championship and NCAA Regional individual championships.
