Sierra Brooks becomes eighth Golfweek honoree under head coach Emily Glaser
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Gators sophomore Sierra Brooks was named as a 2018 All-American Second Team selection by Golfweek, Monday.
This is the eighth time a player has been recognized by Golfweek in the Emily Glaser era. It is the first time the Gators have put a player on the second team. Last year, Maria Torres became the first player named to the Golfweek First Team.
Brooks led the team in stroke average with a 72.03 in her 26 rounds this spring, the mark is tied for second in program history. She became the first player in program history to win two of her first three events in Orange and Blue.
