
Official: Shuler Enrolled at Florida

Defensive lineman Adam Shuler II joins Florida for the 2018 season.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators bolstered their defensive line as former West Virginia Mountaineers DL Adam Shuler has officially enrolled at the University of Florida.
Shuler, a native from Longwood, Fla., will play this fall as a graduate transfer. He earned a B.A. in General Studies from WVU last spring.
On the field, Shuler will be eligible to play this fall and comes off a season where he played in 12 games (10 starts) and recorded 37 tackles, 8.0 tackles-for-loss, three sacks, one quarterback hurry and one recovered fumble.
The Gators open up the 2018 season with a home game against Charleston Southern on Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m.

- 2017:
- Played in 12 games and recorded 10 starts.
- Totaled 37 tackles, 8.0 tackles-for-loss, three sacks, one quarterback hurry and one recovered fumble.
- Finished tied for third on the team with three sacks and eight tackles-for-loss.
- Earned a tackle-for-loss and his first-career fumble recovery vs. Utah in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.
- Tallied six tackles, including a sack and two tackles-for-loss at Kansas State.
- Recorded a career-best two tackles-for-loss at Baylor.
- Tied a career-high mark of seven tackles against Virginia Tech in the season opener.
- 2016:
- Garnered Second Team All-Big 12 Freshman accolades from Athlon Sports.
- Played in 12 games and totaled 33 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.
- Notched his first-career sack against Baylor.
- Set a career-best mark of seven tackles against BYU.
- Had six tackles, five solo, and one forced fumble in his career debut against Missouri
- 2015:
- Did not see any game action and redshirted.
Prior to West Virginia:
- Played for coach Jeff Gierke at Lyman High.
- Despite battling some injuries, finished his senior season with 45 tackles, including six sacks and 15 tackles-for-loss.
- Garnered 2014 Second All-Seminole County honors.
- Transferred from Orlando Cypress Creek to Lyman after his junior year.
- Earned a three-star rating by ESPN, Rivals, Scout.com and 247Sports.
- Finished second in the discus at the 2014 FHSAA Track & Field Championships… Placed third in the event as a sophomore in 2012.
