
Gators Tied for Second after First Day of Mary Fossum

East Lansing, Mich. – After the first 36 holes of the Mary Fossum Invitational, the Florida women's golf team finished the day T2 with Georgia, just three strokes behind Virginia.
The Gators had four players end the day in the top 25 with only one stroke separating each of them.
Junior Marta Perez concluded the day at the top of the Gators lineup at T6 after shooting 143 (-1) over the first two rounds Saturday in East Lansing. Sophomore Addie Baggarly lead the field during the first round but finished the day T11 after shooting a 76 (+4) in her second round.
Freshman Clara Manzalini finished T16 after the first two rounds one-over-par while junior Sierra Brooks finished just one stroke behind and T22. Sophomore Lauren Waidner made her first appearance in the Gators lineup after playing as an individual last week. She finished T46 after shooting an even par in the final round of the day.
Playing individually this week after making her gator debut last week, freshman Jenny Kim finished the first two rounds T60.
