Jabari Zuniga earns Gators first SEC weekly honor with his career-high performance against Colorado State.
Zuniga Named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Redshirt junior defensive lineman Jabari Zuniga was named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week, as the league announced Monday.
The weekly honor is the first of Zuniga's tenure as a Gator and comes after a career-high performance in Florida's 48-10 win over Colorado State.
The Marietta, Ga. native posted a career-best 2.5 sacks for a loss of 25 yards on Saturday, stifling the Rams' offense. He was part of a defensive line that sacked Colorado State's KJ Carta-Samuels five times throughout the game. The Gators' defense recorded five sacks in a game for the first time since the 2017 season opener against Michigan.
The redshirt junior also recorded five tackles in the game and a quarterback hurry. This brings him to 10 tackles on the year and pushes his career sack total up to 11.5.
The Gators are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Knoxville for an SEC matchup with Tennessee at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
