CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. /COLUMBIA, S.C. – Sophomore
Oliver Crawford secured the fourth title for the Gators at the UVA Masters as he downed teammate
Johannes Ingildsen in the finals of the singles draw on Sunday.
Ingildsen, a junior, punched his ticket to the championship match with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Richard Ciamarra of Notre Dame in the first semifinal match of the day. He then watched his teammate, Crawford, battle Gianni Ross of UVA as he pulled off a 7-6 (5), 6-4 win. This set up a Gator vs Gator final in which Crawford defeated Ingildsen 6-4, 6-1.
Crawford, who claimed his first individual championship title at Florida, earned a wildcard entry into qualifying for the ATP Charlottesville Challenger in October with his singles win. He also added the singles title to the three doubles championships that his teammates had already gathered. There were four titles up for grabs at the UVA Masters and the Gators brought all of them back to Gainesville.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH BRYAN SHELTON:
- "Just want to thank UVA for hosting such a great event. Our guys had a lot of success throughout the weekend and it was great to win all four titles. Having Joe [Johannes Ingildsen] and Oliver [Crawford] face off in the finals of the singles draw was incredible. Oliver was just a little bit better in the bigger moments today in both the semis and the finals."
- "Our guys learned a lot and we'll watch the tapes this coming week and get back to work before we head to Tulsa next weekend."
Gamecock Fall Invitational:
Harrison Cacciatore and
Greysen Cacciatore had a solid showing in their first tournament representing the Florida Gators. In doubles, the twins advanced to the semifinals of the Gamecock Fall Invitational before falling to Winthrop's Connor Williamson and Lluis Miralles 9-7, in a hard fought match. They both rebounded and won their extra backdraw singles matches to end the weekend on a positive note.

THOUGHTS FROM VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT COACH SCOTT PERELMAN:
- "The Cacciatore twins lost a hard fought doubles semifinal match this morning after having match points, 9-7. They both bounced back and won their singles matches in straight sets to finish the weekend in a positive manner. The goal in these fall tournaments is to improve and get better. They both accomplished that this weekend. Time to go home and get back to work."
