Gators Move Back Into AP & Coaches Top 25, Ranked 25th

The UF football team, a week after defeating Charleston Southern in its season opener, is ranked in AP & Coaches Poll this week.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators took care of business on Saturday in their season opener against Charleston Southern, dominating from start to finish for a 53-6 victory.
The voters in the AP & Coaches Top 25 polls were impressed with the Gators, as UF is now ranked 25th in both polls. Florida last appeared in the Top 25 in early October of last season.

Week two brings Kentucky to Gainesville.
UF has defeated UK 31 straight games, the longest active winning streak by one team over another in all of college football. The run began in 1987 and was extended last year when the Gators erased a 13-point fourth-quarter deficit to escape Lexington with a 28-27 victory, making for the fourth-longest streak for one Division I team over another in NCAA history.
