GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The NFL kicked off the playoffs this past weekend with 12 former Gators on seven of the 12 teams.
Quincy Wilson, the second-year cornerback for the Indianapolis Colts, made an appearance for the 12th straight time. He compiled five total tackles, including four solo tackles.
Mike Pouncey, the eighth-year center for the Los Angeles Chargers, started for the 17th straight game of the season. Pouncey anchored the offensive line, like he's done all season. He helped the Chargers gain 89 yards on the ground and 160 yards in the air.
UF will have 10 former players on six of the final eight teams remaining in the playoffs. Wilson and the Colts will face Demarcus Robinson and the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday at 4:35 p.m. ET on NBC. Dante Fowler, Jr. and the Los Angeles Rams have the night cap against the Cowboys on Fox at 8:15 p.m. ET.
On Sunday, Pouncey and the Chargers take on former Gators Trent Brown and Duke Dawson, Jr. of the New England Patriots at 1:05 p.m. ET on CBS. The afternoon game features Alex Anzalone and the New Orleans Saints facing the reigning Super Bowl Champions in the Philadelphia Eagles at 4:40 p.m. ET on Fox.
