The Gators head to Columbia, S.C. to face the Gamecocks on Saturday, Oct. 19
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference announced the television schedule for SEC week 8 games on Sunday, as Florida's matchup with SEC East foe South Carolina will kick off at noon on ESPN this Saturday.
CBS has elected to use a six-day selection, and the "to-be-determined" kickoff times are now set:
- Florida at South Carolina: ESPN at Noon ET
- LSU at Miss. State: CBS at 3:30 ET
- Kentucky at Georgia: ESPN at 6:00 ET
The Gators return to Columbia, S.C. after defeating the Gamecocks in comeback-fashion last season in the Swamp, 35-31. The contest marks the 40th meeting between Florida and South Carolina, as the Gators hold the all-time series lead 27-9-3. The Gators have won three of the past four matchups against South Carolina, though, in their last meeting at Williams-Brice Stadium in 2017, the Gamecocks came out on top over Florida, 28-20.
Despite the Gators loss at LSU on Saturday, redshirt junior quarterback Kyle Trask became the first Gators quarterback since Tim Tebow (Oct. 20, 2007 at No. 8 Kentucky) to throw for three touchdowns on the road against an AP top-10 team.
In addition, with junior Trevon Grimes' touchdown reception in the first quarter on Saturday night, UF has had 15 different individuals record a rushing / receiving / return touchdown this season. Ohio State (14) was the only other FBS team that entered week seven with more than 13 different players who met that criteria.
UF is seeking its first win in Columbia, S.C. since 2015.
