Carter's Corner: Getting a Read on Gators-Gamecocks
Thursday, October 17, 2019 | Football, Scott Carter
It's the last time Florida fans had much to boo about.
Starting with their 35-31 comeback win over the Gamecocks, the Gators won 10 consecutive games until falling in Death Valley on Saturday against LSU. This Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, S.C., ninth-ranked Florida will try to start another winning streak. The Gamecocks are coming off their biggest win under head coach Will Muschamp, a 20-17 victory at No. 3-ranked Georgia that has the SEC East race wide open.
Speaking of Muschamp, five years have passed since he was head coach at Florida. In three head-to-head meetings against the Gators since he took over at South Carolina in 2016, Muschamp is 1-2. At this point in his career, Florida is just another game on the schedule.
However, as Muschamp reveals in the clip below, he remains fond of his time at Florida and will be reminded of it because of three players on this year's Gators team.
Asked @CoachWMuschamp if it gets any easier playing Florida now that most of his former players are graduated/in the NFL.

Muschamp: "No, because they have a good team."
Listen to the rest of his bite though. So apparent the love he has for all his former guys. @abc_columbia pic.twitter.com/b38CXceJ1M

#Gators O-line has been the obvious sore spot on offense all year. But it was last year, too, before the light flicked on late in the year.
