Gregory Named SEC Defensive Player of the Week

Senior libero averaged 5.17 digs per set in two SEC victories
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After helping Florida to a 2-0 week in SEC play, senior Allie Gregory was honored by the league on Monday afternoon.
Gregory was named as the SEC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Over the course of the week, Gregory averaged 5.17 digs per set.
Against South Carolina on Wednesday night, Gregory recorded 13 digs, two assists and one service ace in the three-set victory over the Gamecocks.
The Louisville, Ky. native followed with an 18-dig performance against LSU on Sunday. Gregory also picked up two assists in the three-set win. During the match, she moved into ninth-place all-time in Florida's history with 1,174 digs.
Gregory currently sits fifth in the SEC in digs, registering 4.23 per set.
The Gators return to Exactech Arena on Friday evening when the Crimson Tide come to town. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. on the SEC Network +.
