Monday, November 4, 2019 | Football
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 10 Florida has released its depth chart for its SEC East game against the Vanderbilt Commodores on Sat., Nov. 9, which will kick off at noon.
Head coach Dan Mullen announced at his weekly press conference Monday that linebacker Jeremiah Moon is expected to miss an extended amount of time due to a foot injury suffered against Georgia last week. Mullen was also quoted as saying that Amari Burney is doubtful for Saturday's game due to an undisclosed injury as well.
Florida heads into The Swamp with an all-time record of 40-10-2 against Vanderbilt, including a mark of 21-2-1 in Gainesville and a five-game winning streak over the Commodores.
Last season, then-No.14 UF walked away with a 37-27 victory that saw the team comeback from an 18-point deficit to pick up the win in Nashville. The deficit matched the largest comeback in a road game since 2003.
Through Week 10, the Gators are one of seven FBS teams that have three pass catchers record at least 25 receptions, 350 yards and four touchdowns. Kyle Pitts leads the way with 39 catches for 469 yards and four touchdowns, with Freddie Swain (29 catches, 430 yards, five touchdowns) and Van Jefferson (29 catches, 362 yards, four touchdowns) rounding out the trio.
On the defensive side of the ball, Florida has created 18 takeaways, which ranks eighth in the FBS, and is one of three teams in the country to intercept three passes in three separate games.
