GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The UF women's golf team won the Florida Gators Invitational for the fourth year in a row, breaking its own record for the lowest team score in tournament history with a two-under 838.
Sophomore Addison Baggarly led the team and finished in a three-way tie for second place with a three-under score of 207. After hitting three bogeys in a row on the front nine of the final round, she birdied her final three holes of the day to finish the round one under par. There was only a one-stroke difference between the runner-ups and the individual champion Michaela Williams of Tennessee. Williams shot the second-lowest single round of the tournament in her final round, ending with a 65.
Junior
Marta Perez had her best round of the tournament, carding a two-under 68 on the final day to finish tied for sixth. Seven birdies helped her finish on par for the weekend and stay inside the top 10.
Sophomore

Clara Manzalini finished inside the top 20 at T14 and T18 respectively. Junior
Sierra Brooks finished inside the top 25 after recovering from a first round score of 77. She had her best round of the tournament Saturday afternoon, carding a 68, and holding her spot with a 71 in the final round.
Coach's Take
"We play this golf course a lot so one thing we know is you have to be patient. And Miami had a really hot start yesterday and Clemson had a really good afternoon round so we kind of knew that as long as we could hang in there for a shot at today we knew we had a good chance. Its 54 holes and you have to stay patient, I thought they did a really good job of that yesterday. We had some up and downs, some nerves I think in the beginning but that's to be expected, but we hung in there and kept it close and gave ourselves a chance today. I'm so proud of the way they focused on just the process." –Head Coach Emily Glaser
On the team getting to play at home
"We talked about it. I think I've learned about this group that playing at home is fun but it can be nerve-wracking when it only happens once a year. You put a lot of pressure on yourself, you want to do well, this is your course. We talked a lot about embracing the opportunity and knowing you're going to be nervous but just embracing it and being grateful for the opportunity. They bought in and they handled in really well."
On Baggarly's performance
"The game has always been there for Addie. She's really focused on her short game lately and I think she's realizing how that can help her score better so that's a huge key. But really her maturity level, she's managing her expectations and enjoying the process. She's a different Addie handling adversity than she was a year ago. I'm happy to see her growth that way and I think its translating into better finishes."
Tournament Notes
Florida broke the record for the lowest team score in tournament history with an 838, beating their 2018 winning score of 840.
Miami broke the record for lowest single-round team score in the first round with a 272. Clemson tied that record in the second round. The previous first-round record was held by Florida with a 279 in 2018. The previous second-round record was a 276 set by Clemson in 2018.
Ohio State player Aneka Seumanutafa finished round two with a 64, the lowest player's single-round score in tournament history, besting the 66 set by multiple players.
