Barnhill was selected as the top overall pick by the Chicago Bandits, while Lorenz was drafted as the second overall pick by the USSSA Pride.
"This is a tremendous accomplishment for both Kelly and Amanda and I'd like to congratulate them on being the first Florida Gator softball players to ever be drafted first and second overall." Head Coach Tim Walton said.
"These two teams are going to get two strong women who are dedicated to being the best players they can be on the field, but more importantly they will strive to be the best teammates, leaders and members of their communities. I am extremely proud of Kelly and Amanda."
