KEY NOTES OF WEEK:
Florida split four games last week, winning a midweek against USF before dropping a series to No. 24 Tennessee over the weekend … All three games against the Vols were decided by one run; Gators won 10-9 on Friday, but UT responded with an 8-7 win on Saturday and 5-4 win on Sunday … Florida overcame a seven-run deficit on Friday against Tennessee, its largest comeback since 2010; UF trailed 9-2 and scored eight unanswered to win 10-9 … Florida led 3-1 on Saturday and 4-1 on Sunday but the Vols got to UF's bullpen both days in a pair of come-from-behind wins … The star of the week was Nick Pogue, who started twice and allowed just one run on three hits in 10.1 innings pitched … Kirby McMullen pitched 3.2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen on Friday to keep UF in the game during the comeback win … Brady McConnell went 9-for-19 (.474) with two doubles, three home runs and six RBI; all three home runs came against Tennessee … Wil Dalton and Nelson Maldonado each went 6-for-15 (.400) with two home runs last week.PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Pogue made two starts last week, the first two of his career, and allowed just one run on three hits while limiting opponents to a .088 average against
- On Tuesday, he pitched five shutout innings against USF in the Gators 7-3 win, allowing two hits while striking out four
- He made his first SEC start on Sunday against Tennessee, pitching a career-high 5.1 innings with just one hit allowed – a solo home run – and exited the game in the sixth with a 4-1 lead
- Pogue lowered his season ERA from 5.28 to 3.51 during the course of the week
