Gators Have Productive First Round of Regionals

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Florida men's golf team completed the first round of NCAA Regionals is competitive position, tied for sixth at five under for the day.
Sophomores John Axelsen and Chris Nido led the way for the Gators, both carding a three-under score of 67 in the first round. Back-to-back birdies on the second nine helped Axelsen move into the top 10 while Nido birdied three of his last four holes to solidify his spot, both ended the round tied for ninth.
The second round begins first thing Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. (ET). The Gators tee times will begin at 11:25.
