Tuesday, May 21, 2019 | Men's Basketball
The Florida men's basketball team announced its 2019-20 non-conference schedule on Tuesday, with the Gators again set to play one of the nation's premier schedules featuring several marquee matchups.
The Gators' slate includes home games against Florida State and a Big 12 opponent in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge, road trips to UConn and Butler, as well as a Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame sponsored game vs. a Big East foe in New York City.
UF is slated to play three games in the Charleston Classic Nov. 21-24 with the draw to be determined (potential opponents listed at bottom). The Gators also return to Sunrise for their annual Orange Bowl Classic contest.
Florida tips off the season on Tuesday, Nov. 5, against North Florida, followed by home contests against Florida State and Towson. UF will also welcome Marshall and Long Beach State to Gainesville.
Florida fans will have two opportunities to catch football and men's basketball in Gainesville on the same weekend. The Gators host Florida State on the hardwood Nov. 10, the day after football's tilt vs. Vanderbilt. UF and Marshall square off on Nov. 29, the day before the football game vs. Florida State.
The Gators head into the 2019-20 season looking for a fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament bid. In addition to bringing back multiple starters from last year's team, the Gators bring in a top-10 recruiting class.
Times and television information will be announced later. Florida will also host an exhibition game leading into the season, with the date and opponent to be announced.
UF opens its Southeastern Conference schedule on Saturday, Jan. 4.
