Echols was named to the 2019 All-Big Ten Freshman Team
Echols to Join Gators for 2020 Season

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Head Coach Tim Walton and the Florida softball program announced the addition of Charla Echols, a transfer from Michigan State, to the roster Monday.
"We're thrilled that Charla will be joining our program for the 2020 season." Walton said. "Charla is a professional hitter and has an infectious personality that will rub off on the entire program. I know that she is excited to be a Gator and is ready to get to work. We can't wait to have her on campus with the team in the fall."
Prior to the start of her freshman campaign at Michigan State, Echols was selected to the 2019 USA Junior Women's National Team for the first time of her career.
The Newnan, Ga. native flourished in her first year of collegiate action as she led the Spartans with a .359 average (51-of-142), 15 doubles and seven home runs. Her success at the plate secured a spot for Echols on the All-Big Ten Freshman Team.
