Men's Basketball Learns 2020 SEC Matchups
Wednesday, May 29, 2019 | Men's Basketball
The Southeastern Conference announced its men's basketball 2020 league matchups, and the Gators are set to face LSU and Ole Miss twice in addition to their annual series with Georgia, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.
The Gators will also welcome Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn and Mississippi State to Gainesville. Florida will visit Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
It marks the second straight year and the fourth time in six seasons the Gators will play home and away games vs. LSU. Last season, the road team won both matchups in overtime before Florida took the rubber match in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals behind Keyontae Johnson's double-double and Andrew Nembhard's game-winning 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds remaining.
The Gators will have Ole Miss twice for the third time in six seasons and the first time since 2016. Florida won last season's lone meeting, 90-86, in overtime at home, as KeVaughn Allen hit a game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Florida hosts the four teams it played only on the road last season. The Gators' road-only this coming season are three teams they hosted last year (Missouri, South Carolina, Texas A&M) along with Tennessee, who UF played twice last season.
Dates, times and television information will be announced later this summer.
