Junior Broadcaster Ryan Urquhart Garners STAA All-America Honors

Urquhart has done play-by-play for volleyball, lacrosse, women’s soccer and softball for the Gators Sports Network.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida junior Ryan Urquhart garnered All-American honors by the Sportscaster Talent Agency of America. Urquhart spent the past academic year doing play-by-play for volleyball, lacrosse, women's soccer and softball for the Gators Sports Network.

STAA All-America Program recognizes the most outstanding collegiate radio and TV sports broadcasters.
Founded in 2009, the All-America Program and Jim Nantz Award is presented by STAA. Each year our judging panel is comprised of leading members of the sportscasting industry and former Jim Nantz Award winners.
Urquhart has learned from Gators Sports Network Broadcaster, Kyle Crooks, who is in Oklahoma City with Florida's softball team at the Women's College World Series. Crooks is credited with teaching Urquhart about the business and how to perfect your craft.
Just last weekend Crooks had an iconic call that Gators fans will not soon forget.
