The Gators (40-15) received the No. 6 seed in this year's tournament with a 12-12 record in conference play and are set to take on No. 11 seed South Carolina (36-16) who finished the year with a 9-14 conference record.
3GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 2019 Southeastern Conference Softball Tournament field is set and the seventh-ranked Florida softball team will play its first game Wednesday, May 8, at 1:30 p.m. (ET)/12:30 p.m. (CT) on the SEC Network.
The Gators (40-15) received the No. 6 seed in this year's tournament with a 12-12 record in conference play and are set to take on No. 11 seed South Carolina (36-16) who finished the year with a 9-14 conference record.
The winner will move on to face LSU, who received the No. 3 seed, Thursday, May 9, at 12 a.m. (ET)/1:00 a.m. (CT) on the SEC Network.

SEC Tournament Notables
- UF holds the second most tournament titles with four and is just one behind Alabama and LSU who each have five.
- The Gators hold the third most SEC Tournament wins with 28 and an overall 28-27 record.
- Florida is also tied for the second most tournament finals appearances with seven.
- The team enters the tournament as the No. 6 seed for the third time in program history.
