
Joseph to Compete in Intercontinental Olympic Volleyball Qualification Tournament

Former Gator Shainah Joseph, along with Team Canada, will compete for a ticket to Tokyo 2020
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Former All-American Gator Shainah Joseph was chosen to compete with Team Canada at the 2019 Intercontinental Olympic Volleyball Qualification tournament.
The tournament will take place in Kaliningrad, Russia from August 1-4.
Team Canada is set to compete in Pool E against Korea, followed by host Russia the next day. Canada will close out competition against Mexico.
Each pool features four national teams competing in a single round-robin system over three match days. Following the single round-robin, the highest placed National Federation of each will earn a ticket to Tokyo 2020.
Joseph earned AVCA Second Team All-America honors during her senior campaign as a Gator. She also earned VolleyballMag.com All-America honors, as well as All-SEC accolades in the 2017 season.
She tallied double-digit kills in 12 of Florida's final 16 matches and hit above .500 in seven matches in which she had at least 10 attacks.
Since graduating, Joseph has been playing with Team Canada. The entire roster for the Intercontinental Olympic Volleyball Qualification tournament can be found below.
