Wednesday, January 22, 2020 | Women's Swimming & Diving
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The latest College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) TYR Top 25 Dual Meet Poll slotted the University of Florida women's swimming and diving team at No. 8 on Wednesday afternoon.
The fourth poll of the season sees the Gators slide one spot after being ranked No. 7 in the previous poll released on Dec. 11.
Florida was the No. 1 team in the first two dual meet rankings of the season, which were released on Oct. 23 and Nov. 13.
This year's team remains undefeated on the year after cruising to victories over Vanderbilt, North Florida and Liberty inside the O'Connell Center Natatorium on Jan. 3 and is off to the program's best start since the 2002-03 team that won its first nine dual meets.
UF would sweep the top-three finishers in four different events in the quad-meet, including both distance events, the 500 and 1,000 free, that saw Florida place the top-four finishes. Individually, Vanessa Pearl and Talia Bates lead UF with two wins each.
Florida will be back in action in their first dual meet action since Nov. 8 when they welcome No. 14 Auburn live on SEC Network on Jan. 25 at 11:00 a.m. ET. Prior to the meet, UF will recognize 13 seniors prior to the meet for their contribution to the University of Florida swimming and diving program.
