Gators Open at No. 10 in USA Today Sports Preseason Poll

USA Today Sports is the third outlet to vote the Gators a preseason top-10 team.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Practices get underway Friday, and the final preseason rankings have been revealed with, the University of Florida baseball team checking in at No. 10 in the USA Today Sports Preseason Coaches Poll, which was released Thursday afternoon. Previously, the Gators were ranked No. 4 by both Baseball America and D1Baseball, and No. 13 by Perfect Game.

Florida has been ranked in Baseball America's Preseason Top 25 for the 11th straight year under head coach Kevin O'Sullivan, and this is the ninth time the Gators are in ranked in the top 10.

USA Today Sports also ranked eight of Florida's 2020 opponents, including five of the top nine teams: at No. 7 Miami (Feb. 21-23), No. 4 Georgia (March 13-15), at No. 5 Arkansas (April 2-4), at No. 9 Auburn (May 1-3), and No. 1 Vanderbilt (May 7-9). Florida also has three games against No. 14 Florida State this season, and welcomes No. 21 Texas A&M (March 27-29) and No. 23 Ole Miss (April 24-26) to McKethan Stadium.

Florida opens the 2020 season Friday, Feb. 14 against Marshall at McKethan Stadium. Season tickets and Flex Passes for 2020 Gators Baseball and the final season at McKethan Stadium are on sale now and can be purchased online through FloridaGators.com or by calling the Gator Ticket Office at 1-800-34-GATOR from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
