GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- Sherridon Dressel and Brooke Madden were recognized among this week's Southeastern Conference weekly award winners announced by the league on Tuesday.
The senior duo was instrumental in No. 8 Florida's 161-137 Senior Meet win over No. 14 Auburn on Jan. 25 in front of a capacity crowd at the O'Connell Center Natatorium.
Dressel would go on to claim a trio of wins in the 100 fly and the 100 and 200 back.
Overall, she would secure B-cuts in all of her individual wins and post new season-bests in both backstroke victories.
In relay action, she would go on to lead-off Florida's winning relay with a split of 24.27 as the team combined for the top time of 1:38.73.
Madden earns her first career Diver of the Week accolade after sweeping the 1-meter and 3-meter events in her first dual meet appearance of the season.
Her 1-meter tally of 313.65 was just .30 points off her season-best and team-leading score set at the Georgia Tech Invitational and her winning 3-meter score of 337.35 was 19.8 points higher than the runner-up finisher.
No. 7 Florida will look to close out the 2019-20 campaign undefeated in a top-ten dual with No. 4 Tennessee on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 10:00 a.m. ET in Knoxville.
The Gators will then enter postseason action, beginning with the SEC Championships on Feb. 18-22 hosted by Auburn.
