GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 2019-20 NFL playoffs opened up with the wildcard round on Saturday and Sunday as a total of 10 former Gators have their eyes set on becoming Super Bowl LIV Champions.
Janoris Jenkins, making his second career playoff start, anchored the Saints' defensive backfield as the eight-year veteran registered eight tackles, a half sack and forced a fumble in his first postseason action since 2017.
A pair of past Gator defensive backs got their first taste of postseason play as Vernon Hargreaves III and C.J. Gardner-Johnson both made their first playoff start for their respective teams.
Hargreaves III was credited with six solo tackles and a quarterback hit, while C.J. Gardner-Johnson made three defensive stops and a deflected pass.
The divisional round will begin on Jan. 11 as former Gators

Chris Thompson and the 49ers will host the Vikings at 4:35 p.m.
Joey Ivie and the Titans will travel to Baltimore to take on the top-seeded Ravens at 8:15 p.m.
On Sunday afternoon, Hargreaves III and the Texans will face off with DeMarcus Robinson and the Chiefs at Arrowhead in the final AFC matchup of the divisional round.
The conference championships will be set at the conclusion of the Seahawks and Packers game on Sunday evening.
