Gators Lead after First Round in Mississippi

The Florida women’s golf team is in the lead following the first round of play at The Ally at Old Waverly.
WEST POINT, Miss. – The Florida women's golf team leads the field by three strokes at the conclusion of the first round at The Ally at Old Waverly, hosted by Mississippi State.
Marina Escobar Domingo and Addie Baggarly led the way for the Gators after both recording five birdies and finishing 4 under par. Both golfers sit in a tie for second place individually at the conclusion of the round.
Annabell Fuller was the third Gators golfer to finish under par after carding a 1-under par 71 behind the work of five birdies. Fuller made the turn 1-over par before recording four birdies on the back nine to finish the round in a tie for 10th individually.
Freshmen Maisie Filler and Sara Ericsson rounded out the Gators lineup. Filler picked up where she left off at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, posting a 1-over par 73, and now currently sits in a tie for 28th.
The Gators will tee it up tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. ET.
