AUBURN, Ala. ā Florida got off to a hot start to the fall season by recording a 30-9 overall record in the three day Tiger Fall Invitational, which featured Southeastern Conference opponents Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.
The Gators completed the invitational on Sunday against Vanderbilt and Ole Miss, going a perfect 9-0 in singles play and 2-2 in doubles action.
Overall, UF went 24-3 in singles matches and 6-6 in doubles matches in its first team competition since March 8 at Texas A&M after the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Florida will now turn its attention to a few weeks of practice before traveling to the South Carolina Invitational on Oct. 23-25.

Day Two Recap
Florida completed the second day of the Tiger Fall Invitational on Saturday at the Yarbrough Tennis Center with seven singles wins and three doubles wins over Alabama.
After dropping three of four doubles matches on Friday, the Gators rebounded by winning three of four on Saturday against the Crimson Tide.
Florida will close out the three-day fall invitational with Vanderbilt at 10 a.m. ET on Sunday.

Day One Recap
Florida got its 2020 fall season underway in the Tiger Fall Invitational at the Yarbrough Tennis Center on Friday.
It was an impressive day for the Gators in singles play as the team went 8-1 in their nine matches, led by victories from captains
Sam Riffice and
Duarte Vale.
Riffice and Vale won difficult matches that went to three sets while
Andy Andrade,
Brian Berdusco,
Blaise Bicknell,
Josh Goodger,
Lukas Greif and
Ben Shelton all collected wins as well.
In doubles, Riffice and Vale picked up UF's only victory, 8-1.
Florida is scheduled to play Alabama on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET and then close out the invitational with Vanderbilt at 10 a.m. ET on Sunday.
