  • Won the 2022 NCAA Singles Championship with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory over No. 6 August Holmgren (San Diego)... Shelton also defeated No. 27 Ondrej Styler (Michigan), No. 57 Axel Nefve (Notre Dame), No. 19 JJ Tracy (Ohio State), No. 15 Arthur Fery (Stanford) and No. 3 Adam Walton (Tennessee) en route to his singles title
  • Made it to the doubles quarterfinals in the NCAA Individual Championships with teammate Sam Riffice... The duo defeated #9 Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi/Matias Soto of Baylor, 6-4, 6-3, in the Round of 32... Then, defeated #17 Justin Boulais/James Trotter of Ohio State, 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (10-6) in the Round of 16.
  • Finished the season ranked No. 1 in singles and No. 5 in doubles with Sam Riffice
  • Led the team with 37 singles wins and 27 wins against ranked opponents... Also ties for first on the team with 18 dual doubles wins
  • During SEC play, went 10-2 in singles and 7-3 in doubles, both at court one... Won SEC Player of the Year
  • Clinched the match for the Gators against No. 3 Texas with a win over Pierre-Yves Bailly, 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 6-1, at court three
  • Put together a 4-2 overall record at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships, with two ranked singles wins against No. 17 Chris Rodesch (Virginia) and No. 25 Philip Henning (Georgia) and a ranked doubles win versus No. 54 Stewart/McCormick (Georgia)... Clinched both wins against No. 7 Virginia and No. 9 Georgia
  • Compiled a 2-1 overall record in the first week of SEC play... Posted singles wins at court one over No. 19 Daniel Rodrigues (SC) and Liam Draxl (UK) to help the Gators start conference with a 2-0 record
  • Picked up four ranked wins against No. 8 Georgia and No. 1 Tennessee... In doubles with teammate Sam Riffice, the pair defeated No. 55 Tristan McCormick/Hamish Stewart (UGA), 6-2, and No. 16 Emile Hudd/Shunsuke Mitsui (UT), 6-4, which clinched the doubles point for the Gators... Also collected singles wins against No. 19 Stewart (UGA) and No. 18 Adam Walton (UT)... Shelton's singles win over Stewart was also the match clincher against Georgia
  • Collected two ranked singles wins against No. 21 Nikola Slavic (Ole Miss) and No. 25 Florian Broska (Mississippi State)... Also beat the No. 2 doubles team of Lukas Engelhardt and Finn Reynolds (OM), 6-3, with Riffice at court one
  • Went undefeated in singles against both No. 38 LSU and No. 41 Vanderbilt to extend a 12-match win streak
  • Clinched the match against Kentucky with a victory over No. 8 Liam Draxl to win the SEC Tournament title
SOPHOMORE
Fall 2021
  • Opened the fall season ranked No. 86 in singles and No. 26 in doubles with Sam Riffice in the ITA Preseason National Rankings
  • Collected two wins in both singles and doubles play to open the season at the Gator Fall Invite … Defeated No. 56 James Story of South Carolina in two sets, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (5), at the tournament
  • Was one of three Gators to go undefeated (3-0) in singles play, while adding two more doubles wins at the Crimson Chowderfest… Was named the Dale Junta winner of tournament in singles after going 3-0 and defeating No. 106-ranked Henry Von der Schulenburg of Harvard, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, on the final day of competition
  • Made history in becoming the first Gator to win the singles title at the ITA All-American Championships… Boasted a perfect 12-0 sets record, tallied six ranked victories and only allowed his opponents to win 35 games in the tournament
  • Ended the fall ranked No. 2 in singles by the ITA and was the only athlete to beat the fall No. 1 player, August Holmgren
