
Monserez Named SEC Setter of the Week

After notching two double-doubles, Marlie Monserez earned SEC Setter of the Week honors
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After notching back-to-back double-doubles to end the 2020 season, Marlie Monserez was honored by the Southeastern Conference on Monday afternoon.
The junior earned SEC Setter of the Week honors after averaging 10.00 assists per set and 3.62 digs per set in the two matches against Georgia.
This is the first such honor for Monserez during the 2020 campaign, but her fourth Setter of the Week accolade overall.
The Windermere, Fla. native registered 47 assists and 17 digs in a win against the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday – averaging 11.75 assists per set and 4.25 digs per set. The 17 dig-performance was a season-high and was just one shy of her career-best mark.
Monserez also registered a double-double in Friday's match, finishing with 33 assists and 12 digs.
The junior setter finished the 2020 fall slate ranked third in the conference in assists per set (10.18) and racked up four double-doubles.
