GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gator student-athletes achieved academic success this fall.

Fall grades are in and the Gators posted an overall grade point average of 3.15.

More highlights from the Gators' fall semester in the academic arena:

15 teams posted a GPA above 3.0
The overall student-athlete GPA was above 3.05 for seventh consecutive semester
Overall cumulative GPA of student-athletes is 3.17
The 376 student-athletes earning above a 3.0 GPA is a fall term record
Earlier this month, 29 student-athletes received UF degrees

"This was a challenging fall for everyone as COVID-19 extended on-line learning for classes. Gator student-athletes worked hard and were rewarded with an all-time high fall GPA," Athletic Director Scott Stricklin said. "In addition to the efforts by our student-athletes, also want to commend our academic staff under the direction of Jeff Guin at the Hawkins Center to adapt and innovate to aid our student-athletes achieve success in the academic arena."
