Two Gators Earn Bids to Tewaaraton Award Watch List

Florida has now had 16 players earn 31 Tewaaraton Nominations
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Two members of the nationally-ranked Florida lacrosse team were named to the 2020 Tewaaraton Watch List, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation on Thursday night.
Junior Shannon Kavanagh and senior Cara Trombetta each made their second appearance on the Watch List.
Overall, the Gators have had 16 players earn 31 Tewaaraton Award nominations in the 11-year history of Florida lacrosse, with four finalists.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.

Additions to the Watch List will be added on March 10 and April 2. On April 25, a list of Top-25 nominees will be released. Five finalists will be announced on May 7, with the Tewaaraton Ceremony set for May 28 in Washington, DC.
