GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Due to expected inclement weather throughout the afternoon and evening, Florida's baseball game at Stetson has been rescheduled for March 18. A time for the game has not yet been announced.
Top-ranked Florida returns to action Friday, when it opens a three-game series against Troy at McKethan Stadium. First pitch Friday night is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday's game is slated for 4 p.m. Sunday's game is scheduled for 1 p.m. All three games will stream live via SEC Network + and the ESPN app.
The Gators are off to their first 8-0 start in head coach Kevin O'Sullivan's 13 seasons. It is also the fifth such start in school history. The 1989 and 2002 Gators hold the school record for consecutive wins to open a season (11), while the 1956 Gators won their first 10 games, and the 1992 Gators won their first eight.
