Bassett Enters Transfer Portal

Forward Dontay Bassett has entered the transfer portal and plans to move on from UF as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining. Bassett appeared in 77 games with three starts for the Gators, averaging 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds for his career.
Bassett drew six charges this season and 20 in his career. He scored a career-high 14 points against Oklahoma on Nov. 21, 2018, in the Battle 4 Atlantis. In his first career start, Bassett had 12 points and six rebounds in a win against 12th-ranked Auburn on Feb. 24, 2018.
Bassett came to UF in 2016 and redshirted the 2016-17 season while recovering from a stress fracture in his foot.
