Gators Finish Eighth in Final IWLCA Poll

Florida went 6-2 in the shortened 2020 season. 
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Due to the 2020 season being cut short, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced its final poll of the year on Thursday afternoon.

Florida finished the year ranked eighth in the poll. UF started the season ranked 14th and jumped as high as fourth over the course of the year.

The Gators were 6-2 through the first eight games of the year, including four wins over ranked opponents. This squad knocked off then-No. 1 Maryland on Feb. 15 and then-No. 3 Stony Brook on Feb. 29 for two of the Top-25 wins.

In Florida's final game of the season, the Gators defeated Navy at Donald R. Dizney Stadium (17-9).
