A school-record 255 SEC Academic Honor Roll accolades were earned by Gator student-athletes in 2019-20
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida placed 113 student-athletes on the 2020 Southeastern Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, announced today by league commissioner Greg Sankey.
The 2020 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2019-20 summer, fall and spring terms. Florida placed a school record 255 student-athletes on 2019-20 SEC Fall, Winter and Spring Academic Honor Rolls.
Gator lacrosse saw a program-record 21 earn SEC Academic All-SEC honors in 2020. Two other programs equaled their all-time high – softball (14) and men's tennis (7). Other sport honoree numbers included men's track & field (21), women's track & field (20), baseball (13), women's golf (7), men's golf (5) and women's tennis (5).
Notes About Gator Honorees:
To be recognized to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.

Notes About Gator Honorees:
- Senior Kendyl Lindaman claimed the 2020 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Softball Academic All-American of the Year honor. She is the third Gator named softball's Academic All-American of the Year.
- Three Gators turned in 4.0 grade point averages for the 2019-20 academic year – Harrison Cacciatore (men's tennis), Kendyl Lindaman (softball) and Carlotta Ricolfi (women's golf).
- Baseball's Kirby McMullen receives a $10,000 post-graduate scholarship as a male nominee for the 2019-20 H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete of Year award.
