Five Gators Named to Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll

The Southeastern Conference released the Spring 2020 Academic Honor Roll, which included five members of the Florida men’s golf team.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Spring 2020 Academic Honor Roll was announced today and included five members of the Florida men's golf team – John Axelsen, Fred Biondi, Robby Eisch, Manny Girona, and Eugene Hong.
This is the second year in a row that Axelsen, Eisch, and Girona have achieved this academic honor.
Grades from the 2019-20 summer, fall and spring terms are used to determine eligibility for the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll. A record number of Florida student-athletes (255) were placed on 2019-20 SEC Fall, Winter and Spring Academic Honor Rolls.
In order to be recognized on the SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
