
Seven Gators Earn Spring SEC Academic Honors

Seven members of the Florida women’s golf team were included on the 2020 Southeastern Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Friday.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Spring 2020 SEC Honor Roll, released Friday, featured seven members of the Florida women's golf team – Addie Baggarly, Elin Esborn, Jenny Kim, Clara Manzalini, Marta Perez, Carlotta Ricolfi, and Lauren Waidner.
In addition to her inclusion on the Academic Honor Roll, Ricolfi is also just one of three Florida student-athletes to turn in a 4.0 grade point average for the 2019-2020 academic year.
The 2020 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2019-20 summer, fall and spring terms. The University of Florida placed 113 student-athletes on the Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll, bringing the total number of academic honors for the 2019-2020 year to 255 and setting a new school record.
In order to be recognized on the SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
