Florida dropped its final match of SEC Match play on Tuesday.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Gators concluded the final day of the SEC Match Play Championship on Tuesday at Shoal Creek Golf Club.Β
Florida fell to Tennessee 5-0 and finished the first-time tournament 1-3Β overall.Β
"Thank you to the SEC, Jerry Pate, Jim Brotherton, and everyone at Shoal Creek for a great tournament," head coach J.C. Deacon said.Β "It was a lot of golf on a special course.Β We got a lot better over the past few days and need to take this momentum into Isleworth on the weekend. We know the recipe to be successful, it's time for everyone to execute."
The Orange and Blue wrap up the fall next week at the Isleworth Collegiate (Oct. 17-19) at the Isleworth Golf Country Club hosted by UCF.Β Β
