
Carter, Moon and Pierce Accept Invites to Senior Bowl

The annual Reese’s Senior Bowl will take place on Feb. 5, 2022 at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
All three Gators have played integral parts during the 2021 season and throughout their Florida careers.

Carter, a defensive lineman from Tampa, Fla., concluded the season with 8.0 sacks while posting 32 tackles, 11.0 tackles for loss, and four quarterback hits through 12 games. He had a career-high three sacks in the season opener against Florida Atlantic and went on to be named SEC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week. In his 46-game career as a Gator, he totaled 107 tackles, 28.5 tackles for loss, 17.5 sacks and 21 quarterback hits.

Pierce, a running back from Bainbridge, Ga., had a team leading 16 total touchdowns tying him for sixth all-time in a single season at Florida. He totaled 1,806 rushing yards, 23 rushing touchdowns, five receiving touchdowns and averaged 5.5 yards an attempt throughout his 50-game career as a Gator. His 23 rushing touchdowns as a Gator ties him for 10th all-time in Florida history.

Moon, a linebacker from Hoover, Ala., registered 49 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, and six quarterback hits. Returning in the 2021 season after suffering his third season-ending injury in 2020, he put together his most productive season as a Gator. Across 48 career games, he had 151 tackles, 14.0 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
The Reese's Senior Bowl takes place on Feb. 5, 2022 at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Ala. The game annually features the country's best senior collegiate football players and top NFL prospects on teams representing the American and National that are coached by the entire coaching staffs of the Panthers (American) and Dolphins (National).
Last season, former Gators Shawn Davis, Trevon Grimes and Kadarius Toney participated in the 2021 Senior Bowl, totaling 109 former Florida Gators to have been participants since 1950.
